School of Health Sciences - Undergraduate Programs

The Health Science Curricula

The Health Science curricula for Undergraduate majors are designed around a common core of courses in mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry. During your first and second year, the school's programs are similar enough that switching to another program can be done with minimal loss of progress towards completing your degree requirements.

Choosing A Major

Decisions on options within the various areas usually need not be made until the sophomore year or, in some cases, not until the junior year. Students may choose to pursue a broad health sciences education as undergraduates and then specialize in an area of major interest at the graduate level. Choosing a major area of interest and the specific course option is often difficult, but help is available. You will have an academic adviser who will provide the information you will need to make your decision. Feel free to contact our head academic advisor, Bob Walkup, with questions.
