School of Health Sciences - Day on Campus

Day on Campus (June 10 - June 20) is Purdue's orientation for incoming first-year students. During Day on Campus you spend a full day at Purdue attending orientation sessions, meeting with your academic advisor, registering for fall semester classes, and getting ready to begin your academic career at Purdue in August. See Purdue's Day on Campus webpage for more information.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit your assigned residence hall, take placement & advanced credit exams, visit bookstores, and ask any questions you may have. Parents and other family members are more than welcome to join you.

Invitations to Day on Campus will be mailed out in early May to all admitted students who have sent in their $100 advance deposit. If you haven't gotten an invitation by late May or have questions contact the Office of Admissions at (765) 494-1776.

What should you do BEFORE coming to Day on Campus?

  • You MUST take the Calculus Readiness Test. We cannot register you for classes until this is completed
  • Read this page showing you how to get to Purdue, where to park, and how to get to the School of Health Sciences.
  • Read carefully through the Day on Campus information you receive in the mail as well as this web site.
  • Activate your Purdue Career (computer) Account and set up your Purdue email account via the Internet. The Purdue Help Desk has directions. Then go to Purdue Web Mail and send us a message (please send messages to beckm@purdue.edu).
  • If you've had two or more years of a foreign language in high school and plan to continue at Purdue you will need to take a foreign language placement test. Day on Campus is a good time to take it.
  • Prepare to take an Advanced Credit exam and earn Purdue credit before the start of fall semester.
  • Complete the Medical History Form and Insurance Information Form you will receive from Purdue Student Health Center (PUSH). Mail both of the forms back to PUSH in the envelope provided (or bring them with you to Day on Campus and drop them off at PUSH).
  • Complete and return the Student Information Form.
  • Plan to spend the entire day (7:30am - 4:30pm) at Purdue to allow enough time for you to complete all of the necessary tasks.
